Genesis Health and Social Care proposes to meet clients’ needs based on the professional background and education of its principal directors, respectively in nursing and security thus creating a strong foundation for prospective staff and service users.

Feyishade is the lead director of Genesis Health and Social Care Services and with over 14 years experience working in both the NHS and private sector, she brings a wealth of skills, knowledge, and competence to supported living and will ensure a person-centred approach is at the forefront of the services offered. Feyishade understands that organisational structure and competent staff is pivotal to providing quality care and support. Having undertaken vigorous nursing training, Feyishade strives to provide sound and structured staff training to ensure all staff are confident in providing holistic quality care.

Throughout her healthcare journey, Feyishade has made conscious efforts to develop academically and clinically subsequently providing strong transformational leadership to her colleagues and delivering the highest standard of care to patients and relatives. After obtaining her initial undergraduate degree in adult nursing at Canterbury Christ Church University, Feyishade went on to complete a Master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership and Management at Greenwich University. In 2022, Feyishade then obtained a post graduate certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice at King’s College London which subsequently led to being recognised by the Royal College of Nursing Foundation and awarded the Muriel Scott award for outstanding professional development.

Throughout her nursing training and career, Feyishade has had the privilege of working in various clinical settings and within the community. She has looked after patients from various background with different medical conditions, physical disabilities, mental health complexities as well as social needs. Feyishade is currently a specialist nurse for individuals with sickle cell disease, a debilitating genetic condition that can negatively impact every aspects of one’s life. Living with a chronic illness can present numerous challenges, however with proper management and support, individuals can live fulfilling lives. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, Feyishade has witnessed the benefits patients’ experience when they are well integrated within a hospital-based multidisciplinary team, a community team and supported by family to achieve a comprehensive, ongoing individualised care plan. Feyishade is a great advocate for patients and will go to lengths to ensure their voices are heard and will carry her experiences and values to Genesis Health and Social Care.

Feyishade’s professional background is complemented by her co-director’s extensive experience in the security industry where the safety of the public is paramount as well as protecting public and private property. Having worked as a security officer and supervisor in various settings, Adeyemi understands the importance of building relationships with service users and the wider communities. With alcohol, substance misuse and mental health issues often the cause of anti-social behaviour, Adeyemi has been trained to deescalate situations through effective communication and is confident working in challenging environments as well as emergencies. These are all valuable and transferable skills that will allow our service users to have the best experiences at Genesis.
